Yesterday, like I said, Rachael and Kyle and I went to [Woodland Park Zoo]. We got there about 12:45pm only to find that the zoo itself closes at... 4pm. Eh, winter hours. LOL

That's okay. Because, although the weather guys said that it was going to be 55? I think they lied. And it was BEAUTIFUL!SUNNY, so we put the top down on the way up there (about an hour's drive) and froze poor Kyle out of the backseat. On the way, we stopped at [Dick's], a Seattle staple for 'a day out on the town'. Or, for that matter, a NIGHT out on the town. Shiiiiiiit, prom people go there. EVERYONE goes to Dick's. Hell, 'My Posse's on Broadway'? Lyrics mention Dick's. :D So, after hitting the Dick's on Broadway, we finally made it to the Zoo.

First, we saw the GORILLAS.

Big Daddy Gorilla performed his 'butthole smelling/tasting' show for us, up close and supah personal. It was tasty.

And while we went all over, only a few photos showed up well enough on my phone to share. So, here is the funtime GIRAFFE, which is apparently my sister's reason for living. *shrugs*

The mean ol' CROCODILE, that lives down on the banks of the Limpopo River... (anyone remember that but me?)

There were no penguins and all we saw were the Elephant Boo-tays, so... yeah. We hit up the Day and Night Exhibits, fed the birds and um... saw Australasia. With the Kookaburras and the Wallaroos. Then Rach insisted on seeing the Bug House. I insisted she take Kyle and I went to get something to drink. She took my phone, though, and took me THIS fine photo:

Aww, Rach. :P

Which reminds me! The SNAKE. He was pretty and showing off:

Snakes are something I'm actually fond of.

Then Kyle climbed into a turtle shell:

Oh, and here is Rachael doing what SHE called 'pulling a Mo' as she was telling a story about how she was dealing with a co-worker. AND MY SISTER?!

Said that I make that face all the time. Mer? Lani? Um, help a gal out, mmmkay? Is that me? Do I do that?

Also, Lucy (pictured here):

Hit a milestone on the way back from the zoo:

:D 66 thousand miles on mine car. Eeesh.

At the end, back at my house, Rach says, "Thank you for driving me to the zoo." I say, ":P".

All in all, a VERY fun day and I slept REALLY well. It's now 11am and Kyle is STILL trying to be asleep. Eeeesh. Boy, get UP. We gots us some PLANS. *pokes*
